We have performed more than 30 of these assessments. We pride ourselves on preparing comprehensive reports that provide specific, constructive recommendations to improve the organization’s performance.

These engagements require extensive experience and judgment, therefore, Roberta Wagner and Bruce Bugbee perform all the work themselves; junior associates are not used on these assessments.

How does it work?

  • We start with a review of board reports, bank financials, management reports, and other corporate records to understand your financial institution.
  • We ask the CEO to distribute a questionnaire, tailored to your organization, to all directors, officers, and occasionally to all employees, which will help us gauge morale, communications, and challenges facing individual staff members. The questionnaires are confidential; participants return them directly to Bugbee Wagner.
  • We interview each member of the board and many of the officers individually to follow up on the questionnaires;
  • We synthesize all of this information to provide feedback on the:
    • Organizational structure
    • Staffing levels
    • Communication
    • Morale
    • Reporting systems and the like
  • Findings are presented to management and the board first verbally and then in a written report.
